Welcome to Leyburn Community Primary School's website.
Inspired to be the best that we can be!
Leyburn Community Primary School values being at the heart of the local community. We believe in working and learning together to develop all aspects of the child, giving them the skills to be confident young people, so that they are able to play an active role as adults in modern society. Children are trusted and given the freedom to learn within the boundaries of what is expected from them. We aim to provide the best academic, social, moral, spiritual and cultural education possible and we expect all involved with the school to contribute to this.
This is what the children in Year 6 think about our school -
“I love the way the school allows you to run your own clubs (with supervision of course!) and I love seeing the new things available like clubs and games.” Phoebe, 11
“I think it is an amazing school because I have learnt and got more confident at reading and writing, maths and science!” Lily, 11
“I think this school is amazing and when I walk there, I feel like I’m walking towards my family.” Katie, 11

“I think this school is very loving and caring and when someone injures themselves, they get help!” Annabel, 11
